The building-safety sector is increasingly dependent on accurate, accessible and up-to-date information. Drawings, inspection records, asset data, safety documentation and change histories may all be available digitally, yet the person standing in a plant room or service corridor can still struggle to identify exactly which information relates to the asset in front of them. Augmented Reality (AR) creates an opportunity to bridge this gap. By recognising a location, asset, QR marker or other approved identifier, a bespoke AR system can provide authorised personnel with a visual route into relevant building information while they are physically standing beside the equipment concerned.

Fire emergencies in high-rise buildings create conditions that are extremely difficult to reproduce during conventional training. Smoke, restricted visibility, conflicting information, unavailable lifts, residents requiring assistance and rapidly changing conditions can turn a familiar building into a complex operational environment. Virtual Reality (VR) provides building owners, facilities teams, security personnel and other authorised staff with a way to rehearse these situations before an emergency occurs. Augmented Reality (AR) can then provide contextual safety information when authorised personnel are working in the real building.
