Using VR to Train Waste and Recycling Teams for Lithium Battery Fires and Emergency Response

Fire is one of the most difficult hazards for a waste organisation to reproduce realistically during training. Employees need to recognise developing incidents and understand emergency procedures, yet deliberately creating realistic fires inside waste-processing environments is neither practical nor desirable. Virtual Reality offers another approach. A bespoke simulation can reproduce the visual, audible and operational conditions surrounding a waste fire while allowing employees to make decisions without exposure to heat, smoke, moving machinery or combustion products.

VR and AR Training for MRI, CT and Medical Imaging Systems

Modern diagnostic imaging systems combine sophisticated hardware with software-driven workflows, patient positioning requirements, safety procedures and extensive configuration options. Whether the equipment is an MRI scanner, CT system, X-ray installation or interventional imaging platform, correct operation depends on much more than knowing which button to press. Operators must understand the complete Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), including preparation, equipment configuration, patient workflow, scanning processes and responses to abnormal situations. Bespoke VR and AR can provide a practical way to improve this familiarity while reducing dependence on training access to live imaging equipment.

Cobot Training in VR: Preparing Employees to Work Safely with Collaborative Robots

Collaborative robots, or cobots, are changing the relationship between people and automation. Instead of always operating behind traditional perimeter guarding, collaborative applications can place people and robotic systems much closer together. That creates new opportunities for flexible manufacturing, but it also increases the importance of understanding robot behaviour, operating states, authorised interactions and the limits of a particular collaborative application. Bespoke Virtual Reality training can allow employees to experience these interactions before working alongside the physical equipment, while Augmented Reality can provide additional guidance when completing approved tasks around the live installation.

VR Cleanroom Training for Satellite Manufacturing: Practising Contamination Control Before Entry

A spacecraft cleanroom is an unforgiving place to discover that someone has misunderstood a procedure. Contamination control, electrostatic discharge precautions, gowning requirements, material restrictions and movement protocols can all affect sensitive flight hardware. Yet conventional cleanroom training faces a contradiction: personnel need practical experience before working around valuable spacecraft, but using operational cleanrooms for introductory training consumes controlled space and staff time. Bespoke Virtual Reality (VR) can provide an additional training layer before personnel enter the real environment. Augmented Reality (AR) can then help reinforce authorised procedures when appropriate during live operations.

VR and AR for Street Cabinet and Telecoms Chamber Training

Street cabinets, underground chambers and access networks are familiar working environments for telecommunications engineers, but familiarity does not make them simple. Engineers may need to identify multiple cables, connectors, splitters, ducts and network components while following strict procedures and completing work under time pressure. Incorrect identification can mean disconnecting the wrong customer, disturbing existing infrastructure, introducing contamination or creating a fault that generates another engineering visit. Bespoke Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) can help organisations turn cabinet and chamber procedures into interactive training before the job and contextual guidance during it.
